A LAWYER representing former Zampost postmaster general Macpherson Chanda and two others has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, Lusaka High Court division, to acquit the convicts. But the state argues that the 2 years simple imprisonment slapped on the convicts is actually inadequate seeing that the offence attracts up to 15 years. In July 2022, the Economic and Financial Crimes Court in Ndola sentenced Chanda and two others to two years simple imprisonment after finding them guilty of corrupt practices involving over K300 million.
