SIMONGA Farms Limited and former Ministry of Defence permanent secretary Stardy Mwale have asked the Lusaka High Court to give them time to explore an out-of-court settlement. This is in a matter in which the farm sued Mwale over his alleged failure to pay US$530,000, which is the balance of the purchase price of part of its farm in Mazabuka. The parties have submitted before Lusaka High Court Judge Conceptor Zulu that they are engaging in negotiations with a view of coming up with an agreed position which will subsequently lead to a consent judgement.
