THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court division, has dismissed the matter in which former Infrastructure minister Ronald Chitotela sued the ACC, seeking a declaration that his State Lodge property, seized by the commission, was legally and genuinely acquired. The court dismissed the petition on the grounds that Chitotela failed to prove his claims on a balance of probabilities. Chitotela sued the ACC, its acting director general Silumesi Muchula, and two investigative officers, Gift Tembo and Kopano Chilembo, in the Lusaka High Court, constitutional jurisdiction.
