DIRECTOR of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Gilbert Phiri has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Court to forfeit 43,903 Mukula timber logs to the state, as they are tainted property. Phiri is seeking a non-conviction based forfeiture pursuant to Sections 29 and 32 of the Forfeiture of Proceeds of Crime Act.
