THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court Division, has denied former defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba bail pending his appeal against a five-year sentence. Mwamba recently asked the High Court to grant him bail after the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court denied his request. His lawyers argued that Mwamba’s life was at risk as his health condition was dire and he needed urgent medical attention from experts.
