FORMER president Edgar Lungu’s economic advisor Hibeene Mwiinga’s son, Hakaantu, has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that the properties he is alleged to own were paid for by his father. Hakaantu, 35, a Security Officer at Zesco, has also told the court that from 2018 to 2021, he received salaries and allowances in excess of K330,000. This is in a matter where Mwiinga, his wife Mercy Musanje, and their son, Hakaantu are facing corruption-related charges. The trio is jointly charged with Hichikay Farm Limited.
