FORMER First Lady Esther Lungu and her daughter Tasila have separately appealed to the Court of Appeal against the Economic and Financial Crimes Court (EFCC) judgements that resulted in the forfeiture of their properties to the state for being tainted. The Court of Appeal recently granted the former First Lady leave to appeal the judgement of the High Court forfeiting her 15 double-storey flats to the state. Court of Appeal Judge Kelvin Muzenga also granted Tasila Lungu leave to appeal the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court Division’s judgement, forfeiting her Sinda farm to the state.
