GREEN Party leader Peter Sinkamba has discontinued his petition against the Judicial Complaints Commission and the state in the Constitutional Court, where he was challenging President Hakainde Hichilema’s decision to remove three judges from their office. Sinkamba, who also cited the Attorney General as the second respondent, wanted a declaration that the JCC’s decision to review a ruling of 2016, which resulted in finding a prima facie case against Justices Mungeni Mulenga, Annie Sitali and Palan Mulonda, contravenes Article 5(2) of the Constitution, and is therefore illegal, null and void.
