A 22-YEAR-OLD medical student has been dragged to court for allegedly being in possession of a tortoise, classified as a government trophy, without a valid licence. Muyunda Mwangala of Rockfield in Lusaka, has since pleaded not guilty to two counts of unlawful possession of protected trophy. Mwangala is alleged to have on November 12, 2024, jointly and whilst acting together with unknown persons, had in their possession government trophy, namely live tortoise without a valid licence. Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili allocated the matter to Magistrate Mwandu Sakala where Mwangala denied the charge.
