MINES Minister Paul Kabuswe has asked the Lusaka High Court to grant him leave to commence defamation proceedings against Matero PF member of parliament Miles Sampa. Earlier this month, Kabuswe wrote to Sampa demanding K50 million and an apology for a defamatory publication on the Matero MP’s Facebook page, which alleged that Kabuswe had become a multimillionaire after the Mopani sale. Kabuswe now wants an interim injunction to restrain Sampa and his agents from making further defamatory statements against him.
