Zambian champions Zanaco this afternoon progressed to the group stages of the CAF interclub competitions after the first round of games concluded in the Champions League.

Zanaco drew 0-0 with Yanga FC of Tanzania in the return leg but still qualified on away goals rule having drawn 1-1 away in Tanzania in the first leg.

And Zesco United progressed to the next round of the CAF Confederation cup after drawing 2-2 with Da Massager Le Ngozi of Burundi to qualify via a 4-2 aggregate scoreline having won 2-0 in the reverse fixture at home seven days ago
