Beston Chambeshi has been confirmed as Zambia Under-23 coach while Mumamba Numba has taken over the Under-20 coaching job.

A FAZ official who was not willing to be named said the changes were ratified last Saturday during a FAZ executive committee meeting held at Football House in Lusaka.

The official said Chambeshi would also continue with his role as assistant Chipolopolo coach under Wedson Nyirenda.

The 2016 COSAFA U20 Cup and 2017 U20 AFCON winning coach will now oversee Zambia’s 2019 CAF U23 Cup and 2019 Tokyo Olympics qualifying campaigns.

Numba on the other hand will be tasked with defending the COSAFA U20 title on home ground from December 6-16 in Kitwe.

The Zanaco coach is former Zambia Under-17 trainer where he led Zambia to victory at the 2017 COSAFA U17 Cup in Mauritius in July.

Meanwhile, FAZ has yet to appoint a new bench to replace Numba at Under-17.
