MINISTER of Sports, Youth, and Arts, Elvis Nkandu, has expressed disappointment with the behaviour of athletes who rush to social media to express their grievances. Nkandu has also confirmed that government has started paying allowances owed to athletes that represented the country, at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games where Zambia recorded one medal, a bronze in the 400m race. In an interview with ZNBC, Nkandu said government was disappointed with the growing trend of athletes rushing to the media whenever they had unresolved issues of allowances.
