Justice minister, Given Lubinda says he can neither condone nor condemn the attacks on the Law Association of Zambia because people have the right to protest.

Lusaka lawyer Bradford Machila on Sunday challenged Lubinda to categorically condemn the PF cadres’ behaviour and to protect LAZ even though he was not a lawyer.

But in an interview, Lubinda said he could not sympathise with LAZ president Linda Kasonde because he did not know why people wanted her to resign.

He added that people were free to protest against LAZ because it was an association like any other, provided such people had a police permit.

In this audio, Lubinda explains in detail why he could not condemn the people who stormed the LAZ secretariat.
