NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili’s newly appointed special advisor Chris Zimba says the opposition political party’s eyes are fixed on peacefully retiring President Edgar Lungu in 2021.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Monday, Zimba stated that he would provide technical support to the formation of a credible party constitution and attractive manifesto.

“For me, the same can be said about promoting political leadership, democracy and good governance. I was born and trained for this as I naturally find it my daily bread to engage in critically political analysis, lecturing, writing and discussions than anything in this life. Therefore, I feel highly thankful to Dr Chishimba Kambwili who I only met few weeks ago this year to identify and appoint me as his Special Advisor for Policy and Research at NDC Member of Central Committee level under his office. My national duty starts with reviewing and providing technical support to birth a credible and attractive tailored made NDC Constitution and Party Manifesto for 2021 and beyond-thank God,” Zimba stated.

“Mark my words comrades,friends and allies, our task and eyes for Kambwili and NDC are clear and fixed- to legally and peacefully retiring President Lungu and PF in 2021 as we take over political and state power through a democratic process. Therefore, I want to appeal to my fellow nationalists and concerned citizens out there to join us and support Dr Kambwili and NDC for 2021. He called for issue based politics.

“To my comrades, brothers and sisters in PF/MMD government, let us remain friends, engage as equal Zambians as we peacefully race for political power because, politics in a democracy is not war as you present it or mental hospital chaotic competition. To our comrades in the UPND, NAREP, FDD and other civilized political parties, let us continue to engage as political comrades and sober citizens in racing for national political leadership because we have one common agenda-to unsit Lungu and the PF in 2021. What unites us is greater than what divides us-we are One Zambia, One People and One Sovereign Republic,” stated Zimba.
