THE Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) has suspended three of its employees on charges that they testified in the case involving former bank Managing Director Samuel Mulenga Bwalya. Emmanuel Simbeza, George Lumpa and Chanda Kambobe have been handed suspension letters dated February 10, 2023, signed by acting DBZ managing director Maybin Muyawala. “This letter serves to notify you that you are hereby suspended with immediate effect until further notice in order to allow for investigations into matters relating to your recently publicised court appearance at which you gave testimony in the matter of The People vs Dr. Samuel Mulenga Bwalya under circumstances which may have breached the Bank’s policies and procedures,” Muyawala stated in the suspension letter to the trio....
