CONVICTED former Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) managing director Dr Samuel Bwalya’s lawyer Alex Chileshe says Dr Bwalya will appeal against his conviction because no reasonable court can make a judgement without direct evidence. And Chileshe says corruption must be fought genuinely and not just creating evidence to suit an agenda that it is being fought. On Friday, Lusaka Magistrate Faides Hamaundu convicted and sentenced Dr Bwalya to 15 months imprisonment with hard labour for abuse of office.
