FORMER Auditor General Dr Dick Sichembe’s lawyer James Mataliro says the Anti-Corruption Commission’s delay to take his client to court shows that they don’t have sufficient evidence against him. In March this year, the commission arrested and charged Dr Sichembe for corrupt practices involving over K1 million. The commission said Dr Sichembe, whilst serving in his capacity as Accountant General and subsequently, as Auditor General, received an accumulated sum of K1,160, 639.57 in allowances for fictitious activities.
