FORMER vice-president Enoch Kavindele says the issue of stopping a former president from travelling outside the country is a trend which has been happening since UNIP days, noting that former president Edgar Lungu had also stopped Rupiah Banda from travelling to seek medical aid in South Africa. In a letter dated September 7, 2023, Deputy Secretary to Cabinet Dr Oliver Kalabo informed Lungu that his request to travel to South Africa had not been granted. And on Saturday, Lungu and his wife Esther were ejected from a flight after an immigration officer informed them that their trip was not cleared.
