PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says one of the things the African continent suffers from is low levels of productivity which are occasioned by poor health. And Namibian Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila says the continent will not develop and prosper unless the citizenry enjoys good health. Meanwhile, Africa Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Director General Jean Kaseya says it’s shameful that only 25 to 35 percent of medicines used in Africa comes from within.
