SPEAKER of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has cautioned MPs to conduct themselves with civility and sobriety at all times in the National Assembly. Rendering her ruling on a point of order raised against Petauke Central MP Emmanuel Jay Banda, who defied the Speaker’s directive in March 2024, Speaker Mutti declined to admit the point of order on grounds that it was not raised immediately after the alleged breach.
