EUROPEAN Union Ambassador to Zambia Karolina Stasiak has announced a €4.5 million contribution as emergency response to the drought that has hit the country. And United Nations Resident Coordinator in Zambia, Beatrice Mutali, says the UN has so far mobilised $18.1 million for the drought response since President Hakainde Hichilema declared drought a national emergency. Meanwhile, DMMU National Coordinator Gabriel Pollen says about two to three million Kwacha has been raised domestically in response to the drought.
