ZESCO has announced that customers will experience longer power outages due to maintenance works on the Insukamini – Mpokoje 400kV interconnector, which is Zambia’s main transportation corridor of power imported from Mozambique. In a statement, Saturday, the Zesco Corporate Affairs Department said the maintenance works were scheduled for June 30, 2024, from 08:00 hours to 15:00 hours. “Zesco Limited (‘Zesco’) has been notified of maintenance works to be undertaken by Zimbabwe’s power utility, ZESA, on the Insukamini – Mpokoje 400kV interconnector, which is Zambia’s main transportation corridor of power imported from Mozambique.
