OUT of the 113,193 candidates that sat for the 2024 grade nine examination, 88,548, representing 78.23 percent, passed in at least one subject, while 24,645, representing 21.77 percent, failed the examination, says Minister of Education Douglas Syakalima. And Syakalima says overall, Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) nullified results for 5,811 candidates, out of 5,879 of those suspected to have been involved in examination malpractices.
