FORMER Kasama member of parliament Kelvin Sampa has asked the Lusaka High Court to grant him leave for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus Ad Subiciendum so that police can be compelled to present him before court. Sampa, who is also a businessman, wants the Lusaka High Court to ask police to show cause why he should continue in their custody for so many days without any charge or being made to appear before a court of competent jurisdiction. He has cited the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General as respondents in the matter.
