THE government of India has donated 2,500 metric tonnes of maize to support Zambia’s drought response. And Indian High Commissioner to Zambia Ashok Kumar says India stands ready to provide assistance to all friendly countries in their hour of need. Vice-President Mutale Nalumango received the donation on behalf of the Zambian government, while Kumar handed it over on behalf of the Indian government.
