THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court (EFCC) has refused to stay execution of its judgment to forfeit Chawama PF Member of Parliament Tasila Lungu’s properties in Sinda, Eastern Province. In its ruling, the court has held that Tasila, who is former president Edgar Lungu’s daughter, had not demonstrated that her appeal had any prospects of succeeding. The farm is valued more than K8 million and Tasila’s income between June 2015 and August 2021 was only K154,200.
