THE National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) says it moved some services from private health facilities to government facilities, which are cheaper and more affordable, as the scheme risked collapsing. Commenting on complaints from various citizens that many NHIMA-accredited facilities had reduced services available to patients, NHIMA Head of Public Relations Kings Sacika said in an interview, Friday, that some private hospitals had hiked prices and it was draining the scheme. “What has just happened is that some services have been moved from private health facilities and have been left at government facilities.
