SOCIALIST Party president Fred M’membe has criticised President Hakainde Hichilema, accusing him of launching early nationwide campaigns in an effort to manipulate voter decisions ahead of the 2026 general elections. In a Facebook post, Friday, M’membe described the move as illegal, arguing that it unfairly disadvantaged political opponents while allowing the President to use state resources for political gain. “The decision by Mr Hakainde Hichilema to illegally commence early countrywide campaigns is strange but not surprising.
