NGOCC says it is disappointed by the remarks attributed to UPND Deputy Secretary General Getrude Imenda that by-elections are too fierce to adopt female candidates. NGOCC says while the remarks may reflect the mind of UPND as a party, they demonstrate the absence of political will to address the problem of stereotypes and challenges that women face.
