THE announcement by Health Minister Sylvia Masebo that no citizen will be allowed to access any government buildings without producing evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, is a welcome development. In order to address the threat of the new variant Omicron and to prevent the advent of a possible imminent fourth wave, government announced that civil servants will be expected to undergo mandatory vaccination as a pre-condition for being admitted at any work environment.
