WHEN the Patriotic Front lost power in 2021, it became obvious that a lot of former ministers were going to be arrested. This was inevitable for one main reason – most of them were involved in criminal activities and they had no regard for the law when they needed to get things done. We note that a number of these ministers who are being picked up one by one to account for their actions or property are complaining about abuse; they claim that the UPND government has been abusing state institutions to fight political battles.
