THE Human Rights Commission is an autonomous body established and mandated by the Constitution of Zambia to promote and protect human rights for all people in Zambia. This is the body that in charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the Bill of Rights is upheld and protected. If you have been oppressed or any of your freedoms have been curtailed, the place to run to is the Human Rights Commission. It is the institution that is supposed to stand as the beacon of hope and defender of people’s rights.
