ZESCO says it will be forced to shut down the Kariba North Bank Power Station if the country doesn’t receive any rains by January 2025. Station senior manager Cephas Museba says the power utility has tried everything it can to ration the usage of water since the minimum level on the dam was reached over a month ago. Cephas MUSEBA: “As Zesco, we have tried by all means to engage you so that we try by all means at least to generate something until the next rainy season.
