FORMER Kwacha and Kabushi PF members of parliament Joseph Malanji and Bowman Lusambo have asked the Lusaka High Court to order the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to stay or suspend the upcoming by-elections, pending determination of the matter before it. Malanji and Lusambo have argued that there is a chance that they will be deprived of their right to contest given that the by-elections are to be held on September 15, and there was a likelihood that the matter may not be disposed of by the time of the scheduled election.
