FORMER Ministry of Defence permanent secretary Stardy Mwale and five others have questioned the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court whether they will receive a fair trial following President Hakainde Hichilema’s comment about the Gulfstream G650 being overpriced. The accused, through defence lawyer Milner Katolo, made reference to President Hichilema’s speech at the 2022 judicial conference in Livingstone where he addressed the issue of the Gulfstream G650 and indicated government’s intention to sell it because it was procured at an overpriced price. This is in a matter in which Mwale is jointly charged with Isabel Chinji, Micheal Mbewe, Evaristo Sakala, Frank Sinyangwe and Dr John Phiri.
