THE money in politics has no receipts; if you ask the UPND secretary general to explain where he got the money used in the Petauke by-elections, he won’t say, Bowman Lusambo told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday. Lusambo further told the court that after earning funds as a politician in the MMD, he engaged a South Africa-based contractor, Kloppers, to construct his family home in Chamba Valley at a cost of K1.6 million. Meanwhile, the former Lusaka Province minister has reversed his earlier decision to fire his lawyers in the corruption case.
