THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has fined Chishimba Kambwili K25,000 or in default seven months’ simple imprisonment for failing to appear before immigration officers at a point of entry. In this matter, Kambwili was facing one count of departing from Zambia without appearing before an immigration officer at a port of entry, contrary to Section 16(1) as read with Section 56(1) of the Immigration and Deportation Act No. 18 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia.
