Multichoice Zambia has announced a reduction in subscription fees across all packages effective September 1.
At a media briefing in Lusaka this morning, Managing Director Ngoza Matakala said prices had reduced up to 16 per cent.
“True to our commitment to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, it is my pleasure to announce today a decrease on DSTV subscription across all packages effective 1st September 2017. The price decreases will be as follows: DSTV Premium subscription will reduce by 3.4 percent and will now be at K790, Compact Plus subscription will reduce by 16 per cent and will now be at K450, Compact subscription will reduce by six per cent and will now be at K300, Family subscription will now reduce by two per cent and will now be at K200 and Access subscription will reduce by seven per cent and will be at a price of K100,” said Matakala.
“This is a clear demonstration that as a business, we stick to our customer first promise. This is what we mean when we say to you that with DSTV, you get the real deal, we are the real deal.
You get wholesome quality content that you can only find on DSTV and nowhere else. Let me end by assuring you that DSTV is the best option for digital migration in Zambia. It operates on the best digital technology and comes with only the best in both local and international content.”
She said the company recognized the tough economic conditions in the country.
“Multichoice continually reviews its packages and price due to the dynamic market conditions with interest of our customers at heart and with one objective in mind; to delight customers by constantly offering them more value. We are delivering more value to our customers by giving them access to amazing local and international content at a price that they can afford,” said Matakala.
“The business recognizes that we are living in tough economic times and want to reward customers for their on-going loyalty and support. In April 2016, we had a price drop on all packages in order to provide relief to our customers in our current economic conditions.
Remember that with GOTV and DSTV, you are already digital and you do not need to buy another decoder because we are here to stay.”

The move is welcome..they should just take note of too much of repeating the same programs/movies over and over for months and months, the only difference being the time…competitions is good, the prices may be the same now it will be the service delivery of quality programming..
