Acting Energy Minister Gary Nkombo has expressed concern that some state and quasi-government institutions have adopted a culture of not settling electricity bills thus owing Zesco huge sums of money. Speaking when he closed the Presidential Delivery Unit Energy Lab session on unlocking and optimising Zambia’s energy sector potential, Nkombo said such a culture was terrible. “Let me quickly just zero in on those problems that have clearly been identified as challenges to Zesco, that is the culture of not settling bills, especially with government and quasi institutions.
