ECONOMIST Dr Lubinda Haabazoka says the 2024/2025 maize bumper harvest is a win for Zambia’s economy, food systems, and regional influence. On Thursday, ZAMSTATs announced that the country was expected to harvest about 3,655,645 tonnes of maize this year, compared to 1.5 million in 2024.
