THE Chinese Chamber of Commerce says the two mining firms that have been suspended for illegal processing of minerals by the government are not its members. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development suspended operations at two Chinese operated mines in Kasempa District after discovering illegal processing of gold and copper ore. The Ministry said Sino Octascene Mine and Ken Reliable were found processing minerals without the required mineral processing licenses. Commenting on the development in an interview, Wednesday, Chamber Chief Executive Officer Eric Shen said the organisation did not support any illegal activities by its members.
