THE Lusaka High Court has sentenced a 33-year-old farmer of Lusaka West to six years imprisonment with hard labour for causing the death of his pregnant niece. Lusaka High Court Judge Mwape Bowa sentenced Amos Dubeka to six years after he admitted causing his niece’s death. Dubeka was initially charged with one count of murder but the charge was later reduced to manslaughter. He pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter, an incident which occurred in March 2021. Facts of the matter are Dubeka lived with his niece and two others at his farm in Lusaka West.
