THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted and sentenced a 28-year-old woman of Chibolya township to three months simple imprisonment for stabbing her 47-year-old husband with a broken beer bottle. Esther Chongo Muleya was facing one count of unlawful wounding, Contrary to Section 232 (a) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence were that Muleya, on December 14, 2023, in Lusaka, unlawfully wounded Auditor Nzala. When the matter came up for plea before Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya yesterday, Muleya pleaded guilty to the offence.
