THE Attorney General has sued a former accounts assistant at the National Assembly of Zambia, seeking a payment of K672,074.89 which he owes to the state. The state, which has sued Machila Ngoma, further wants interest on the sum and costs of and occasioned by the action. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court Principal Registry, the state submitted that on February 23, 2022, Ngoma was charged with fraudulent handling of cash amounting K760,525.05.
