MINISTER of Youth, Sport and Arts, Elvis Nkandu, has called for increased investment in football, particularly at the developmental level, following Zambia’s recent struggles on the pitch. Speaking during the Zanaco Grassroots U-17 National Tournament at Sunset Stadium, Nkandu expressed concern over the declining standards in Zambian football, especially in the men’s game. “The standards of football have gone down, especially men’s football, and now the solution lies in what we are doing here,” Nkandu said.
