ZESCO Ndola Girls missed a chance to etch their name in the history books after suffering a heartbreaking defeat to Botswana champions Gaborone United in the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifier final at the UJ AW Muller Stadium in Johannesburg. Gaborone United were crowned Southern African queens after edging ZESCO 4-3 on penalties, following a tense 1-1 draw in Saturday’s final. The Botswana giants will now represent the region at the continental finals later this year.
