Scores of University of Zambia students last evening abandoned their books to celebrate UPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s release from detention.
In this video, excited students, who are preparing for exams, are seen singing and dancing to commemorate the day.

The celebrations began at the male residence popularly known as “Ruins” and spread to the entire institution.
Later, the students attempted to take their celebration to the Great East Road but were cautioned of police presence who manning the main entrance leading to the road.
The celebrations continued within campus with UPND slogans and HH solidarity chanting characterising the event.
