MATERO PF member of parliament Lloyd Kaziya says he is currently under police protection because some PF cadres plan to attack him for unknown reasons.

In a short interview, Kaziya said he did not know their motive.

“They are planning to attack me, I am receiving police protection right now. They have been planning to attack me for whatever reason. I am told they are PF cadres so I don’t know why they want to attack me. I have got police protection right now. I am being guarded by the police. I was just told by the police that cadres want to attack me, I got that information (Monday). It is very sad, really I don’t know their motive. I am not intimidated not at all and I will stand for the people of Matero,” said Kaziya.

Efforts to get a comment from police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo and Lusaka police commissioner Luckson Sakala proved futile by press time as their phones were unreachable.

In December 2020, Kaziya said winning elections at parliamentary level in the August election would be more about individual popularity because no one could stop the wind of change.
