TRANSPARENCY International Zambia Executive Director Maurice Nyambe has wondered why former president Edgar Lungu’s daughter Tasila has withdrawn the defamation claim against News Diggers and the Environmental Investigation Agency. Tasila, former justice minister Given Lubinda and former lands minister Jean Kapata sued News Diggers Media Limited, its managing editor Mukosha Funga and EIA in January 2020, demanding damages for libel. But Tasila has now told the Lusaka High Court that she does not wish to continue her corruption defamation claims.
